Licorice root (Glycyrrhizae radix) is a medicinal product in the form of an infusing herb. Licorice root is used in gastric ulcers (as an auxiliary agent) and in cough that occurs in diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

Dosage

Licorice root is taken orally in the form of a decoction.

Adults:

Incidentally, in stomach ulcers: pour 1/2 tablespoon of roots (about 3.5 g) with a glass of cold water and simmer slowly, covered for 5 to 7 minutes. Then set aside for 15 minutes and strain. Drink fresh, warm decoction twice a day.

As an expectorant: 1/2 teaspoon of roots (about 1.5 g) pour a cup of cold water and simmer slowly, covered for 5 to 7 minutes. Then set aside for 15 minutes and strain. Drink fresh, warm decoction twice a day.
