Iodine iodine salt is a natural medicinal product which has been produced since 1867 from medicinal iodine bromide waters used in spa treatment. The salt is obtained by the traditional brewing method that guarantees the preservation of valuable properties and long-lasting medicinal value. The use of baths based on Iwonicz iodine salt corresponds to the mineral baths performed at Uzdrowisko Iwonicz S.A. during healing treatments.

The brine bath has a comprehensive effect on both the skin and the entire body, through the expansion of capillaries caused by a thermal stimulus and minerals. The skin, internal organs and tissues become reddened, contributing to their better nutrition, faster removal of metabolic products, stimulation of immune forces and improvement of the resorption conditions of inflammatory foci, which contributes to the relief of ailments. Microcrystals deposited in the skin have hygroscopic properties, which helps to retain water in the skin and reduce heat loss. They additionally cause a long-lasting osmotic stimulus which, by stimulating the immune processes, enhances the bactericidal processes on the skin surface.

Inhalations of iodine bromine solutions stimulate the immune system within the respiratory system, which determines the effectiveness of the product in the adjunctive treatment of chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract.
